You can also watch a video walkthrough of this creation process:
How to Edit an Existing Field
This is also done from the Settings > Custom fields page.
- Go to Settings > Custom fields.
You will see a list of all your existing fields.
Click on the name of the field you wish to edit (e.g., "Country").
From this screen, you can:
- Rename the field.
- Add new options to a list.
- Rename existing options.
Warning: Be careful when editing fields in use.
- Renaming an option (e.g., changing "USA" to "United States") is safe. This will automatically update the value for all contacts who have it selected.
- Removing an option (e.g., deleting a country from the list) is destructive. This action will permanently remove that value from any contacts who currently have it stored.
How to Delete a Custom Field
- Go to Settings > Custom fields.
- Find the field you wish to remove select it.
- Click the Delete button.
- You will be asked to confirm.
Warning: Deleting a custom field is permanent and cannot be undone. This action will delete all data stored in that field from every contact in your database.
