Create a segment of people or organisations

A segment is a live-updating list of people or organisations based on specific conditions. You can use segments to send email broadcasts, create online directories or generate custom reports.

Create a segment

• Go to Contacts > Segments.
• Click Create new segment and choose whether you wish to include People or Organisations. 
• Define your criteria and click Create.

Take some time to explore all the different conditions that are available when creating a segment. Note that as well as built-in attributes you can also use your own custom fields as conditions in segment filters.

View your segment

Once you have created a segment you can view the contacts in that segment by going to Contacts > People / Organisations and using the segment filter to show only contacts within a particular segment.
