Change a membership plan
Only an administrator can change a contact's membership plan. The process varies depending on the payment method of the existing subscription.
Payment method: Manual / Direct Debit
- Edit the subscription
- Select the new plan
- Save changes
The subscription will immediately move to the new plan but no payment will be requested. At the next renewal date an invoice will be issued for the price of the new plan.
Payment method: Card (Stripe)
- Create a new subscription with the same renewal date as the existing subscription and the payment method set to Manual
- Once created, select Convert to Stripe subscription
- Cancel the existing subscription with immediate effect
The new subscription will be linked to the existing payment card and this card will be used to process payment at the next renewal date.
