Set up Google Analytics

Google now recommends that you use GA4, the next generation of Google Analytics. Please check which type of account you have and follow the appropriate instructions below.

If you are using Universal Analytics

This is also often called a 'Tracking code' and will be in the format UA-XXXX-Y

• Sign in to your Analytics account. If you don't have an account, follow the prompts to create a new one. 
• Click Admin.
• Select an account from the menu in the ACCOUNT column.
• Select a property from the menu in the PROPERTY column.
• For new accounts you need the Property ID, which is displayed at the top of the page. 
• Under PROPERTY, click Tracking Info > Tracking Code. Your tracking ID is displayed at the top of the page.

In your White Fuse website:

• Go to Settings > Integrations.
• Select Google Analytics.
• Add your Tracking code (UA-XXXX-Y).

If you are using the GA4 type account

• Sign in to your Analytics account. If you don't have an account, follow the prompts to create a new one. 
• Click Admin.
• In the Property column, check that you have your new Google Analytics 4 property selected, then click Data Streams, then Web. Click the data stream.
• Click the Copy icon next to your Measurement ID.

In your White Fuse website:

• Go to Settings > Integrations.
• Select Google Analytics.
• Add your Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX).
