Restore an expired subscription

A subscription will automatically expire if the associated invoice remains unpaid beyond the designated grace period.

Expired subscriptions cannot be directly restored.

Create a new subscription

The only way to restore an expired subscription is to create a new subscription for the member and set the renewal date for the new subscription appropriately.

Avoid expired subscriptions

Encourage Direct Debit

Encourage the member to set up Direct Debit for future payments. This ensures timely and automatic payments, preventing future subscription lapses.

Review grace period

Consider extending the grace period for invoice payments. This provides members with more flexibility and administrators with more time to mark invoices paid on receipt of a manual payment.

The grace period is set in Settings > Features > Membership.
