Manage the grace period

The grace period is the length of time it takes for overdue subscriptions to become expired.

Here's an illustration where the grace period is 60 days:

• A member does not have a recurring payment method on file
• 1 Aug: A reminder email is sent
• The member does not make a payment
• 15 Aug: The renewal date arrives and another reminder is sent
• The subscription moves to the Overdue status
• Still no payment
• 29 Aug: A final reminder
• Still no payment
• 30 September: Grace period has elapsed
• Subscription moves to the Expired status and cannot be reactivated

You can define your grace period as anything up to 300 days. To do this go to Settings > Features > Membership in the main toolbar.
